Overview

CAT5251 は、4 つのデジタル POT を統合したもので、制御ロジックおよび 16 バイトの NVRAM メモリを備えています。各デジタル POT は、外部アクセス可能な 2 つの終端間に直列接続された抵抗素子で構成されています。各抵抗素子間のタップ・ポイントは、CMOS スイッチでワイパ出力に接続されます。別体の 8 ビット・ワイパ制御レジスタ (WCR) で、各デジタル POT のワイパ・タップ・スイッチを個別に制御します。各ワイパ制御レジスタと連携する 4 つの 8 ビット不揮発性メモリ・データ・レジスタ (DR) により、ワイパ設定が最大 4 つまで保存されます。ワイパ制御レジスタや不揮発性データ・レジスタへの書き込みは、SPI シリアル・バスを介して行われます。電源投入時、4 つのポテンショメータそれぞれで、第 1 データ・レジスタ (DR0) の内容が、各ワイパ制御レジスタに自動でロードされます。CAT5251 は、ポテンショメータまたは 2 端子可変抵抗器として使用できます。幅広いアプリケーションの回路レベルまたはシステム・レベルでの調整を可能にします。-40°C から 85°C の産業用動作温度範囲で利用できます。
