Overview

CAT5172 は、256 ポジション・リニアテーパ・デジタル POT です。機械式ポテンショメータや可変抵抗器の代替に最適です。CAT5172 には、機械式ポテンショメータのように、VCC からグランドまでスパンさせることも、電源レール間の任意の位置にフロートさせることもできる、抵抗素子があります。ワイパ位置は SPI 対応のデジタル・インタフェースを介して制御されます。電源投入時、ワイパはミッドスパン位置にありますが、電力が安定すればいつでも再配置できます。CAT5172 は 2.7 V から 5.5 V で動作します。消費電力は 2 µA 未満です。小型パッケージで消費電力が低い CAT5172 は、バッテリ駆動の携帯機器に最適です。
