| Hello there!
I have a question on NCP59748, the very low-dropout regulator, which has two output pins but just one feedback ( FB ) pin.
I wonder if there were two divided op-amps in the IC package, the Vout of op-amp connected with two output pins separately and the feedback circuit are attached together in the IC. I searched the datasheet but it seems that the simplified application circuit showed only one output pin in the datasheet file. I have no clue that if the other output pin is just like what I think. Please let me know the detail of NCP59748 and I appreciate your kindness.
Best Regards,
Jack Huang

| Subject: Calculating Rt and Ct in fig. 12 of AND8253/D App Note by Lepkowski. Hi, I need to provide surge suppression for a CAN transceiver in a system that will be subjected to Power Short-Circuit tests. In these tests all external I/O are shorted to a 32V source for a one minute duration. An unprotected NUP2105L would breakdown, conduct and burnout during this test. Fig. 12 of AND8253/D App Note by Lepkowski shows a way to avoid this problem. My question is: how do I calculate the values of Rt and Ct? Should Rt be a "pulse withstanding" type? How much power can I let the NUP2105L dissipate safely? 250mW at 25deg C? What would be a good value for Ct? Is there anything special about Ct? Thank You.

| In the datasheet for the NTK3134N MOSFET there are minimum and maximum values for the gate threshold voltage (Vth). min = 0.35V and max = 1V. How do I interpret this range? Is there hysteresis at play so that the transistor will turn on with a gate-to-source voltage above 1V and then turn off if the gate-to-source voltage goes below 0.35V? (It remains on below 1V but above 0.35V?)

| Can NCP1117 be safely used with -10°C room temperature? From the datasheet, NCP1117's operating ambient temperature is 0~125°C. However, the die junction temperature range is -55~150°C. It seems odd to me that the die may operate in -55°C, while it cannot operate in room temperature under zero celsius degree. Could you give me some hint?
I know NCV1117 is of improved spec; however, it is a bit more pricey.
Thanks.

| Dear Sir/Madam,
i am a student and i am in the process of my thesis diploma. As part of it, i need a voltage regulator that will take as input 5V and will give as output 3V. Unfortunately i have searched everywhere and the only ones i find are those who give as output 3.3V.
After a good look at your site, i saw that you have some DC/DC converters like the NCP1402 that could do the job, but i am not so sure. The reason i need the specific regulator is because my power source is at 5Volts and for the needs of my circuit, i need at a specific IC a 3Volts Vref.
Do you think that you have something that could help me?
Thank you in advance,
Pantelis
