NCP500SQL50T1G are used in our design. We are having trouble sourcing this part. We have found some parts but they are 7 years old. 1) What is the shelf life of this product. 2) What kind of life can we expect from a part not being used for 7 years, we need the part functional for at least another 7. At the end-of-life of the built product, this part will be 14 years old. 181 2015-04-10 02:46:22.558

Hi I am using NCN6804 Smart Card reader in the Linux platform. I am using Freescale's I.MX6 Sabresd platform with 3.10.17 yocto kernel. We need to know how the reader will interact with the Smart Card. We do not have any lower level kernel driver for the reader. Also we need to know how we will interact with the smart card from user space. What applications are used from user space so that we read/write to the smart card reader. 344 2015-01-29 08:04:35.894
I am looking for an appropriate image sensor for the wearables market. Need 640 x 480 JPEG Q45 images - snapshots - 1 every 2 seconds Of course, important factors for wearables are important here too: size, power, cost, etc., What advice can you give? 356 2015-01-28 07:51:28.609
Dear Sir! I want to use a switch to switch power from 3.3VDC battery to a load (30mA max current). However, the control voltage comes from a passive harvester circuit that can output 1.8VDC and a maximum of 300uA current. In my application, once power is harvested, the 1.8V is applied to the switch to power up the load from the battery. The problem is that the power harvester can only source 300uA of current. I searched many Optical-MOSFET Solid State Relays that operate at 1.8VDC but they consume >2mA of current for LED to operate the switch. I wanted to have your kind guidance in (a) Is there any switch available with OnSemi that can be operated at 1.8V (300uA) for switching the power from the battery to the load at 3.3VDC and 30mA max? (b) Can i use some switching MOSFETs or something from OnSemi? I am in fact a student from Computer Science and dont have big background of power switches and relays, and need your kind guidance. I want to use your LMV981MU3TBG as a drop in replacement for TI part LMV981RUGR for rail to rail application. I notice on that on your part LMV981MU3TBG both pin 3 and pin 4 are VEE. My question is can I have only pin 3 connected to VEE and have pin 4 no connection? I wonder if that configuration will have any reliability issue long term. Thank you. 518 2014-11-24 11:36:12.342

The 'Spice Kit' AND8009/D does not model the functional logic. Nor does it have native 3.3 LVPECL models. This isn't useful and it's a lot of work to get a useful simulation. Can On Semi provide, working, useful SPICE models for the ECL that it sells that models the functional logic? Thanks. 1024 2014-03-17 13:54:27.458
Hello - Does On Semi have SPICE LVPECL models of its ECL parts? If not, then are their tools available to make the SPICE models? And, if not, why does On Semi not make SPICE models readily available? Thanks. 1093 2014-03-14 14:11:57.837
I 've built a pcb for the NCP2824, excactly as in Figure 19, Single Ended Configuration, but I've not connected the control pin (pin C2, CNTL) which should be connected with a microcontroler, because I thought I could use it without a microcontroler. Can I 'wake up' the IC without a microcontroller? 1191 2013-12-17 13:09:00.924
Hello friend,I`m making a design with the mc100ep195b.And I wonder the pins,IN/ /IN,have interinal termination resistors when a PECL leval input. In the other word I just want to know the archature of the differential Input pins. Thanks! 1203 2013-11-22 10:38:50.123

I am using a CAT24C02 EEPROM in a design and it's I2C address is conflicting with another device on the same I2C bus. Is there away that I can change the 0101 upper bits in the I2C address on this part? 1396 2013-09-06 16:00:03.019
Should the two ground terminals (pins 3 & 8) on the ESD7004 (TVS ESD Protection Diode for High Speed Data Line) be connected together with a trace under the part on the PCB, or should the USB ground lead (pin 5) from the USB connector pass through the part before connecting to the PCB ground? If so, what is the maximum operating current that can pass through the device (e.g., for charge return currents on VBUS)? 1463 2013-05-21 09:41:11.3
Subject: Need support on "Sequential Read" Description: Hi, I am trying to write and read to EEPROM. (Processor: freescale IMX6Q) I can read single byte successfully. Also, when i try to read EEPROM using Sequential Read (Multibyte read), i can read data bytes from 0 to 255, 256 to 511 etc (in multiple of 255 , ie: 0xFF) correctly. However, If i try read bytes: 0 to 511, i get correct value from 0 to 255, but wrong values from 256 to 511. What is the reason? and how i can correct it? Please reply asap. Thanks. Regards, Keshava G N Member - Technical, iWave Systems, Bangalore, India An additional information: Part number: CAT24AA16TDI-GT3 VCC = 1.8 v Clock freq = 400kHz I read/write happening correctly. However, while using sequential read, in the boundaries of : FFh (ie: 255 in decimal) address (example: read values from 250 to 260), I get correct values only from 250 to 255, but get only FF from 256 to 260. Please help to solve the issue. 1657 2013-02-12 09:34:32.089
I am looking to use the NLAS5123 as a solid state relay. My question is will the NC connection allow signals (frequency) to be passed onto the COM pin even if there is no VCC applied? 1611 2013-01-23 08:50:32.599
I want to drive an LED with 4A current in pulses of 1-4 msec. The CAT3324 seems able to do this, but I am uncertain about the readiness of the supercapacitors. For example, CDE type EDL capacitors have a maximum recommended current of less than 1 mA. Even the expensive AVX Bestcaps must be substantially derated when used in the msec range, and it is not clear that they support 1-msec pulses at all. Can you recommend a supercap suitable for this application? 1785 2012-10-18 16:28:05.0

Is there a switching regulator that regulates output current instead of voltage?\nI need to generate three microcontroller-selected levels: 20, 250, 800 mA.\nInput is 1.8 to 2.7 volts.\nHow would you do that? 1775 2012-02-29 22:03:45.0
We'd like to use your NCP1422 in our current design, as a boost converter to feed 1W LED in constant current (0.38A) mode from 2 AA NiMH batteries. To achieve it, \nwe plan add current measuring resistor ( from LED to GND) and op-amp, to tranlate voltage drop on the resistor to NCP1422 feedback voltage. From previous experience with similar LT and Maxim converters we know , that it may be necessary to add some compensation elements , to prevent output voltage oscillation.\nAny suggestion on components/values for this purpose? 1901 2011-09-25 17:17:47.0
I am designing a digital camera application and need to find a highly efficient driver. I am new to LED design, can I use a charge pump or do I need to use a traditional boost converter? 1956 2011-05-30 18:38:12.0
I have implemented your CAT3224 Flash IC chip in a device that is intended to light 4 HB LEDs (Harvatek HT-N178TWV). Right now, we are not providing enough brightness and I am looking for a way to source more current to each LED. right now, I am using the CAT3224 with the Flash resistor set for 1.9A of flash and have each output connected to 2 LEDs in parallel so that .8-1A goes through each LED. We are looking to source LEDs that can take more current, however we do not have room for another supercapacitor. This does not seem as a big issue as our duration of flash pulse only drains about .75V from the 5.5V supercap and there is capacity remiaining. Is there a way to connect two CAT3224 chips to the same supercap? If not, do you have another similar IC that can provide more power from 1 supercap? Please advise any method that may be used to help us achieve more brightness. 2246 2011-05-27 01:10:49.0
Hello, I have been trying to put together step-up regulator with 34063, and use Darlington pairs to boost up the output current to 2A. The regulator supply is a 20W solar panel, supplying 20V and almost 1A of current at full sun. I have a lot a D882 transistors which I would like to use, but I am failing to find the right resistor value to set between base and emitter to get the correct VBE. Can you help me suggesting either a resistor value that would work with a D288 or a different transistor/resistor pair? Thanks 1475
