NCP1288 は、新世代の NCP12xx 固定周波数電流モード・コントローラで、高電圧起動電流ソースが特長で、前の世代とのピン間の互換性があります。独自の Soft-Skip™ モードと周波数フォールドバックを組み合わせることにより、軽負荷状態での優れた効率を示しながら、超低スタンバイ電力消費を達成します。このソフトスキップ機能は、音響ノイズのリスクも劇的に低減します。これにより、クランプ・ネットワークで安価なトランスとキャパシタを使用できます。内部周波数ジッタリング、ランプ補償、多用途ラッチ入力により、頑丈さとコンポーネント・コストが主な制約であるコンバータの有力候補となります。さらに、スタートアップ電流源と、整流 AC 線または DC フィルタ済みバルク電圧のどちらかからの入力電圧を感知できる電圧低下 / ライン OVP ディテクタを組み合わせた新しい高電圧回路を搭載しています。最後に、慎重な設計により、重要なパラメータの精度は全温度範囲 (-40°C 〜 + 125°C) にわたって適切に制御され、設計が容易になり、安全性が向上します (たとえば、ピーク電流制限には ±5%、発振器には ±7%)。
