Overview

SOIC-8 または DIP-7 パッケージの NCP1216 は、NCP1200 ベースのコントローラの機能拡張バージョンです。その高度な駆動機能により、NCP1216 は高ゲート電荷 MOSFET を駆動し、内部でのランプ補償と組み込みの周波数ジッタリングを伴って、最新の AC/DC アダプタが設計しやすくなります。さまざまな固定周波数で動作する内部構造によって、コントローラ自体が高電圧レールから電源供給するので補助巻線が不要になります。この特長によって、ある特定のアプリケーション (バッテリ充電器やテレビなど) では、開発者のタスクが自ずと楽になります。電流モード制御で、優れた入力オーディオ感受性と、固有のパルス間制御も得られます。内部のランプ補償により、連続伝導モード設計では分数調波振動の発生を防止しやすくなっています。出力電力需要が減少するなど、電流セットポイントが所与の値を下回ると、いわゆるスキップ・サイクル・モードへ自動で移行し、低負荷で優れた効率を発揮します。これはユーザが調整可能な低ピーク電流時に発生するため、音響ノイズはありません。NCP1216 には効率のよい保護回路もあるため、過電流状態で出力パルスが無効化され、安全なバーストモードに移行して再起動を試行します。状況が改善するとデバイスは自動的に復旧します。
