NCP1271は、成功した7ピン電流モードのNCP12XX製品シリーズとピン互換の新世代です。調整可能なSoft Skipモードを利用し、高電圧スタートアップFETを内蔵することにより、スタンバイ電力消費に優れています。この独自のSoft Skipで、音響ノイズのリスクも大幅に低下させます。 これにより、クランピング・ネットワークで安価な変圧器とキャパシタが使用できます。内部周波数ジッタリング、ランプ補償、タイマベースの障害検出、ラッチ入力により、頑丈さとコンポーネント・コストが主な制約であるコンバータの有力候補となります。
