NCV8871は、出力調整可能な非同期ブースト・コントローラで、外部NチャネルMOSFETを駆動します。内部スロープ補償によるピーク電流モード制御を利用します。ゲート・ドライバへ電荷を供給する内部レギュレータを内蔵しています。保護機能には、内部設定済みソフトスタート、低電圧ロックアウト、サイクル単位の電流制限、ハイカップモードのショート保護、サーマル・シャットダウンがあります。他には、低静止電流スリープ・モードや外部同期可能なスイッチング周波数といった機能があります。
