NCV898031 は、出力調整可能な非同期 2 MHz SEPIC/ブースト・コントローラで、外部 N チャネル MOSFET を駆動します。内部スロープ補償によるピーク電流モード制御を利用します。ゲートドライバへ電荷を供給する内部レギュレータを内蔵しています。 保護機能には、内部設定済みソフトスタート、低電圧ロックアウト、サイクル単位の電流制限、サーマル・シャットダウンがあります。 他には、低静止電流スリープ・モード動作およびマイクロプロセッサ互換イネーブル・ピンといった機能があります。
