Overview

µA78S40 は、スイッチング・レギュレータ・サブシステムで、温度補償型電圧リファレンス、アクティブ電流制限回路による制御のデューティ比発振器、コンパレータ、高電流/高電圧出力スイッチ(1.5 A、40 V)、ピンアウト・パワー・ダイオード、コミットされていないオペアンプ (IC 電源とは関係なく、個別に出力の増減が可能) で構成されています。40 V を超える電圧、または 1.5 A を超える電流が要求されたときには、このスイッチング出力で、外部 NPN または PNP トランジスタを駆動できます。供給電圧範囲が広い、高効率であるが、スタンバイ電流やドリフトが低いという特徴もあります。µA78S40 は、商用 (0 ～ + 70 ℃)、車載用 (-40 ～ + 85 ℃) の温度範囲で使用できます。アプリケーションには、ステップアップ/ステップダウン/反転レギュレータでの使用も含まれ、バッテリ駆動型システムでは、極めて良い結果が得られます。
