KA431S / KA431SA / KA431SL は 3 端子の調整可能なレギュレータ・シリーズであり、動作温度範囲にわたって熱安定性が保証されます。出力電圧は、外付け抵抗器 2 つで、VREF (約 2.5 V) と 36 V との間で任意の値に設定できます。動的出力インピーダンスは通常 0.2 Ω です。アクティブ出力回路はシャープなターンオン特性を示し、多くのアプリケーションでツェナーダイオードの優れた後継となります。
