オペアンプで一般的に使用されるように、単電源動作で5.0 V～30 V、両電源動作で +/-15 V の LM211/LM311 は、まさに多用途のコンパレータです。さらに、入力はシステム・グランドから絶縁でき、出力で駆動した負荷はグランド /VCC/VEE 電源のいずれかへリファレンスされます。この柔軟性により、DTL/RTL/TTL/MOS ロジックを駆動できます。出力では、電流 50 mA で、電圧を 50 V にスイッチすることもできます。よって、LM211/LM311 は、リレー、照明、ソレノイドを駆動するのに使用できます。
