クワッド・オペアンプで完成した回路設計を利用したこのデュアル・オペアンプは、低電力ドレインで、コモン・モードの入力電圧範囲をグランド /VEE へ拡張し、単電源動作も両電源動作も可能です。LM358シリーズは、LM324の片割れと同等です。単電源アプリケーションでは、標準タイプのオペアンプよりも複数の点で優位にあります。最低 3.0 V / 最高 32 V の電源電圧で動作でき、静止電流は (アンプ・ベースで) MC1741 関連のそれの約 1/5 です。コモン・モードの入力範囲には負電源が含まれるため、多くのアプリケーションで外部バイアシング・コンポーネントが必要なくなります。出力電圧範囲にも負電源電圧が含まれます。
