Overview

CAT5133 は、EEPROM メモリと制御ロジックが統合された高電圧デジタル POT であり、機械式ポテンショメータと同様に動作します。このデジタル POT は、外部アクセス可能な 2 つの終端間に直列接続された抵抗素子で構成されています。各抵抗素子間のタップ・ポイントは、CMOS スイッチでワイパ出力に接続されます。そのワイパ・タップ・スイッチは、7 ビットのワイパ制御レジスタ (WCR) で独立制御されます。ワイパ制御レジスタと連携する 7 ビット不揮発性メモリ・データ・レジスタ (DR) により、ワイパ設定が保存されます。ワイパ制御レジスタの値の変更またはその値の不揮発性メモリへの保存は、3 入力増分/減分インタフェースを介して実行されます。CAT5133 は、VCC (デジタル供給電圧) 入力および V + (アナログ・バイアス供給) 入力という、2 つの電圧供給入力を備えています。デジタル入力とアナログ入力を別々に備えることで、ポテンショメータ端子を VCC より 10 ボルト、グランドより 16 ボルト高くすることができます。CAT5133 は、ポテンショメータまたは 2 端子可変抵抗として使用できます。これは、さまざまなアプリケーションの回路レベルまたはシステム・レベルの調整用に設計されています。電源投入時に、不揮発性データ・レジスタ (DR) の内容がワイパ制御レジスタ (WCR) に転送され、ワイパがその位置に配置されます。CAT5133 は DR がポジション 64 にプログラムされた状態で出荷されます。
