Overview

CAT5171 は、256 ポジション・リニア・テーパ・デジタル POT で、機械式ポテンショメータや可変抵抗器の代替として最適です。ワイパ設定は、I2C 対応のデジタル・インタフェースを介して制御されます。電源投入時、ワイパはミッドスケール位置に配置されます。電力が安定し次第、いつでも位置を変更できます。このデバイスは、動作中にワイパ位置を中間位置にリセットするよう、あるいはシャットダウン状態に移行するよう、プログラムできます。アドレス入力ピン AD0 を使用すると、2 つのデバイスを同じ I2C バスに接続できます。CAT5171 は 2.7 V 〜 5.5 V で動作し、消費電流は 2 µA 未満です。この低い動作電流と小さなパッケージ・フットプリントにより、CAT5171 はバッテリ駆動のポータブル・アプリケーションに最適です。CAT5171 は、AD5245 に対するピン対ピン置換デバイスとして設計されており、-40°C 〜 + 85°C の工業用温度範囲で動作します。
