Ethernet In-Vehicle Networking (IVN)

Automotive Ethernet is being developed to support the growing infotainment and Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) market.

Automotive Ethernet devices from ON Semiconductor are designed to be IEEE 100BASE-T1 compliant and target qualification with AEC-Q100 Grade 1. They are fully compatible with the IEEE 802.3bw (2015) standard; and support OPEN Alliance TC1 Advanced PHY features, as well as OPEN Alliance TC10 Sleep/Wake-up features. The 100 Mbit/s transmit and receive capability enable at least 15 m of unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cables. ON Semiconductor is also exploring alternative transmission speed like 10Mbps or higher than 100Mbps, still compliant to IEEE802.3 and OPEN Alliance requirements.
