ソリューション

Power over Ethernet (PoE) is a collective of standards that describe how to pass power together with the data over twisted pair Ethernet cabling. This disruptive technology allows power sourcing equipment (PSE) to transfer power to the application safely, called a powered device (PD).

IEEE standard certifications guarantee interoperability between various equipment. We supply Powered Device interface and power conversion ICs, adhering to the IEEE 802.3af, IEEE 802.3at, and IEEE 802.3bt standards.

A handshaking process between the Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) and Powered Device (PD) manages power transfer in PoE systems. The PSE detects if the PD is PoE capable and determines the power requirements based on defined device types and classes during this process.
