HV-LV DC-DC converter modules provide power flow between the 400V (high voltage) and 12V (low voltage) power nets or 800V (high voltage) and 12V (low voltage) power nets on hybrid electric (HEV), plug-in hybrid electric (PHEV) and battery electric vehicles (BEV). These modules can be unidirectional or bidirectional, allowing power flow in either direction. Power levels from 1kW to 3kW are common, with systems requiring components rated at 40V on the 12V power net, and 650V to 1200V for the high voltage power net of the converter. Our discrete silicon carbide (SiC) MOSFETs, Super-Junction MOSFETs, and Automotive Power Modules (APM) give designers the flexibility to scale their solutions for existing 400V systems and address new 800V systems while delivering peak efficiencies for power conversion.
