AR0822

The AR0822 Hyperlux™ LH is an 8 MP stacked BSI CMOS image sensor featuring a 1/1.8-inch optical format and 4K (3840 × 2160) resolution at up to 60 fps. Designed for demanding imaging applications, it combines exceptional low-light performance, 120 dB eHDR, enhanced NIR sensitivity, and advanced motion artifact reduction. Its high dynamic range and 2.0 μm pixel architecture make it ideal for security cameras, industrial vision, smart city infrastructure, IoT devices, and automotive DVR systems.

Cost-effective Power Delivery Design for AR0822 Image Sensor

The AR0822 Hyperlux™ LH image sensor requires dedicated analog, digital core, and I/O power rails. For 5 V input systems, the power tree uses a combination of NCP18AAJ, NCP114, NCP18BAJ, NCP16AJO, and NCP16BJO low-noise LDO regulators to generate the required sensor supply domains. For 5 V to 18 V power-over-coax applications, the highly integrated NCV92310 PMIC provides multiple regulated outputs and power sequencing in a single device, simplifying remote camera designs. In 48 V industrial systems, a FAN6500x/FAN65004C buck regulator generates an intermediate supply rail that feeds the downstream regulators. Additional configurations support local or remote ISP architectures, while MCU-controlled sequencing ensures proper power-up and power-down timing. This combination of efficient power conversion and low-noise regulation helps maximize image quality, dynamic range, and low-light performance.
