AF0130

The AF0130 is a 1.2MP stacked BSI CMOS global shutter iToF depth sensor with integrated on-chip depth processing, generating real-time depth, confidence, and intensity data. It supports modulation frequencies up to 200 MHz, offers enhanced 850/940 nm NIR sensitivity, and enables accurate 3D sensing for robotics, machine vision, industrial automation, access control, and AR/VR applications.

Cost-effective Power Delivery Design for AF0130 Image Sensor

The AF0130 Hyperlux™ ID iToF depth sensor requires three power rails: 1.8 V (VDDIO), 1.2 V (VDD), and 2.8 V (VAA). For 5 V input systems, the NCP163 250 mA LDO generates the 2.8 V analog rail, which also serves as the input to the NCP3135 5 A buck converter that supplies the 1.8 V I/O rail, while the T30LMPSR165 300 mA LDO provides the 1.2 V core rail. For 18 V to 48 V industrial inputs, a FAN6500x 6 A buck converter first generates an intermediate 3.2 V rail, followed by the same NCP3135, T30LMPSR165, and NCP163 regulators to create the required AF0130 supply domains. An MCU-controlled sequencing circuit manages the power-up and power-down order of the rails, ensuring compliance with sensor startup requirements. This architecture combines high-efficiency buck conversion for high-current loads with low-noise LDO regulation for sensitive analog and core circuits, enabling reliable depth-sensing performance in machine vision, robotics, and industrial 3D imaging applications.
